The nursing profession, comprising of nurses and nursing assistants constitutes the largest working group in the health care sector. Apart from being a highly responsible and noble profession, this profession demands a lot of time, dedication, patience, sacrifice, love and care for the sick patients. A nurse assists doctors and render services to the patients in getting the temperature and pulse recorded, administering medication both orally and through injections, changing dressings, giving personal care, preparing patients for surgery etc..
After completion of graduate program Nurses can pursue higher studies (M.Sc Nursing).
The demand for highly qualified and skilled nurses will continue to grow with the expansion of health care facilities. With the expansion of educational and training institutes in nursing, the demand for teachers is also increasing. Professionally qualified nurses could try to get suitable positions in USA, Canada, U.K, Australia and other European counties, after qualifying NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examinations for Registered Nurses) or CGFNS (Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing School) and TOFEL (Test of English as Foreign Languages) / IELTS (International English Language Testing System), etc.
